Kelly Schilling, a fellow 21 year old student of mine at Jefferson University, is also one of my coworkers at Aerie in the King of Prussia Mall. I interviewed her on her style, her favorite pieces of her go-to outfits, and who her fashion inspiration is.
During the interview, Kelly was wearing Aerie leggings, a cropped Champion hoodie, and Fila sneakers. She admitted that leggings and joggers are her go-to bottoms, which she’ll pair with a crop top or cropped hoodie, or a really oversized sweater or sweatshirt–there is no in between. Kelly described her style as “the definition of comfy cute” and “athleisure.” This is very fitting, since she works at Aerie, which is all she owns; she even mentioned that she has never owned any other brand legging, and probably never will.
When asked what she loved about her current outfit, Kelly couldn’t decide! She gushed over her black leggings and sweatshirt, and her white chunky sneakers. “Now that I think about it, I only own white sneakers. They really match everything and you can pair them with any outfit,” she said. She loves her Filas especially because they are platform, so they make her look tall since she is on the shorter side. Her outfit was simple but definitely “comfy cute” as she described it.
Lastly, I asked Kelly who her outfit inspiration was. This time she didn’t hesitate, and exclaimed; “definitely Viviane Audi!” Viviane is close to our age, is a blogger, an Instagram influencer, and has a Youtube channel. Kelly described Viviane’s style as “simple chic,” because she too wears joggers and leggings but will pair them with Dr. Martens or a cool accessory. She can dress up or down, but looks cute doing it no matter what. Kelly strives to have a similar style and follows her insta (@vivianeaudi) for inspo!
